Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz was born on July 1, 1646 in Leipzig, Saxony, to Friedrich Leibniz and Catherina Schmuck. Leibniz’s father, was a descendant of Sorbian, he died when Leibniz was six years old, and from then on, he was raised by his mother. His teachings influenced Leibniz’s philosophical thinking in everyday life.

Since Leibniz’s father was a professor at the University of Leipzig, which he inherited his father’s personal library. He was given free access to the library from the age of seven years. Library is what allows him to explore different philosophical and theological works developed largely written in Latin, because this is the cause Leibniz ability in speaking Latin at the of 12 years old.

Leibniz is credited, along with Sir Isaac Newton, by creating the calculus is very small (consisting of differential and integral calculus.)
